People have asked - Why is a company known for producing food and wine centric events producing a women in business day? Perhaps it is because myself, a businesswoman for over seven years, I was seeking something different. An event where the focus was on the quality of the experience - rather than the size of the event. One where participants would be encouraged to interact with recognized experts, meet other similarly minded dynamic, professional women and most importantly plan their personal path for success. Hence Today=92s BusinessWoman(tm). With this event, my goals are to provide the female business community with an amazing day and also to be able to provide two full scholarships to UMBC's award winning ACTiVATE program for female entrepreneurs. Join us on March 9th - and have the opportunity to meet and learn from a terrific team of twelve phenomenal experts at the first milestone event. Tickets are $125 and include breakfast, choice of seminars, lunch, great networking, prizes and giveaways. Yes it is a full day - but at this point in your life - aren't you worth taking a full day for the benefit of your personal and professional growth? I hope you think you so. As the saying goes "If you build it - they will come" - I sincerely hope you will.
EXCEPTIONALLY on a Tuesday night - Join us for a combination of serious & fun. Wine theme: Spirited wines just perfect for Spring. In our effort to help you maintain your resolutions this year, we are also tackling serious subjects. Two things you may want to try to avoid - but shouldn't and can't : Taxes and Insurance - L Content Mc Laughlin Esquire and Edna Kowitz registered Insurance Advisor & Expert will help guide you through the confusing and ever changing climate of what you absolutely need to know regarding these two daunting subjects and why. Join us - 6:30pm at Christopher Daniel in Timonium $65 for members/ $75 non-members inclusive.

Bonus - Tuesday February 27th through Saturday March 3rd all food items on the menu will be half price. . Pazza Luna 1401 E. Clement Street in Locust Pont. For reservations dial: 410-962- 1212 Behold the power of organization! I was so impressed with Amy Rehkemper's talk on organizing last month that I decided to get to my own organization project. My basement had been masquerading as a monumental mess for some time and it had gotten so bad - that I was almost afraid to go down there - for fear I'd disappear in the clutter. In four hours Amy coached me along and we blasted through years of unnecessary excess, mess and confusion. I now have a basement I like and I even have spent some time down there. I would highly encourage anyone as the spring cleaning bug is about to bite - to consider organizing FIRST. One of the best services Amy offers is to take all your donations of unwanted items to the appropriate locations for you (and she gets you the tax receipts to boot).
